THE IDEA, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

A demo account uses simulated funds to practice platform mechanics and a written process. It can help reveal mistakes without deliberately risking real money. Execution, emotions and costs may differ from live conditions.

KEY VOCABULARY

Demo account
A simulated trading environment using virtual funds.

A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Demo exercise: enter a simulated order, record the spread and planned risk, then explain why you would exit. Do not count simulated gains as income.

A COMMON MISTAKE

Presenting demo results as actual profits or proof of future performance.

WHAT TO REMEMBER

Label every simulated result clearly and focus on the process.
